Portal Extension

Self-Service Portal on Salesforce

Give customers, guests, members, students, tenants, and other external users one place to access the Booking Ninjas information and actions you choose to expose.

Give external users self-service without creating a separate staff system.

Booking Ninjas Self-Service Portal is an external access layer for the records and workflows you choose to expose. It can support profile information, bookings, requests, documents, invoices, balances, memberships, classes, events, and other configured experiences.

What users can see or do depends on the Booking Ninjas modules, Salesforce records, external-user setup, permissions, integrations, and implementation behind the portal.

Membership

Use Membership when the portal needs member records, plans, renewals, benefits, or Stored Value.

Class App

Use Class App when external users need configured class enrollment or participation workflows.

Event Management

Use Event Management when the portal needs event information or participation workflows.

Keep Self-Service and Communication in the Right Layers

The portal is where users view information and take action. Communication Hub adds broader outbound communication.

In-Portal Information

Show selected notices, documents, status information, or next actions inside the portal.

Transactional Communication

Use basic transactional communication for supported Booking Ninjas workflows where applicable.

Communication Hub

Add broader email, SMS, and WhatsApp communication when the external-user workflow needs it.

Control What External Users Can Access

Portal access depends on the Salesforce security model, external-user setup, and records intended for self-service.

  • Configure authentication for the external-user experience.
  • Use permissions and sharing rules around suitable portal records.
  • Limit users to the accounts, bookings, documents, or workflows intended for them.
  • Use different access rules for different external-user groups where required.
  • Keep available portal activity connected to staff workflows where configured.
  • Account for Salesforce external-user licensing where required.

The Portal Is the Access Layer. Other Modules Power the Work.

Self-Service Portal provides external access to selected Booking Ninjas and Salesforce records. It does not automatically include every booking, membership, class, event, communication, payment, or custom workflow. Those capabilities depend on the modules, integrations, permissions, and implementation behind the portal. Specialist customer-service or portal platforms can remain in place where broader functionality is required.
