background

HFTP South Florida Chapter

HFTP South Florida brings together hospitality finance and technology professionals across the region through education, networking, events, and its local chapter community.

A local chapter like this needs its own digital home. Members and visitors need a clear place to find the chapter, while the people running it need a system they can actually work with.

Booking Ninjas helped HFTP South Florida put that chapter website on Salesforce and gave the team its own Salesforce user environment behind it.

The need: give the local chapter a digital home of its own

HFTP is a global association, but the South Florida chapter has its own board, members, local events, networking, and chapter activity.

That creates a simple need: the local chapter should have a place where its own information and community can live.

  • Local chapter information
  • Board and leadership
  • Membership activity
  • Industry events
  • Chapter communication
  • Local hospitality community

The public website is one side of that work. Behind it, the chapter also needs the people running the organization to have access to the system and the information they are responsible for.

The setup: a Salesforce website with chapter users behind it

The project records we have are clear about the core setup.

Booking Ninjas provided HFTP South Florida with its Salesforce environment and the HFTP South Florida website.

A 2020 renewal covered the chapter website together with Salesforce access for 12 users. The service was already in place from 2019.

A historical public HFTP board-member profile also directed visitors to a Booking Ninjas-hosted Salesforce site for the chapter.

That gives us a clear picture of the implementation: the public-facing chapter website and the Salesforce environment behind it were connected parts of the same setup.

How the chapter setup fits together

01 Chapter website

Members and visitors have a public place to find the South Florida chapter.

02 Chapter identity

The experience can follow HFTP South Florida instead of looking like an unrelated generic system.

03 Salesforce users

Authorized chapter users can work inside the Salesforce environment behind the site.

04 Room to grow

Member, event, reporting, portal, and other workflows can be added when the chapter needs them.

The important part: the org belongs to HFTP South Florida

This is where the Salesforce setup matters.

A Salesforce org is a dedicated environment where an organization's users, records, workflows, settings, reporting, and other tools can live.

For HFTP South Florida, that meant the chapter was not simply being placed inside one generic piece of software shared with every other organization.

The environment could be built around the chapter itself: its users, its website, its information, and the work it wanted to manage.

Booking Ninjas brought the Salesforce foundation, but the chapter stayed in control

One reason this setup makes sense for HFTP is that the organization itself represents hospitality finance and technology professionals.

Booking Ninjas could use Salesforce as the base for the website and chapter environment instead of building everything from zero.

Salesforce provides the wider foundation for users, permissions, records, automation, reporting, and future workflows.

But using Salesforce does not mean every chapter has to work the same way.

The technology provides the tools. HFTP South Florida decides what belongs in its environment and how the chapter wants to use it.

What this setup gave the chapter

We do not have measured post-launch figures for staff time or membership growth, so this story should stay focused on what the implementation itself clearly provided.

A local digital home

HFTP South Florida had a chapter website connected to its own Salesforce-based setup.

Access for the chapter team

The documented renewal covered 12 Salesforce users rather than only a public webpage.

One foundation

The website and Salesforce environment could sit together instead of being completely unrelated tools.

Less dependence on generic software

The chapter could have a setup tied to its own organization rather than changing its work around a fixed shared system.

A renewable working setup

The surviving invoice shows the Salesforce and website subscription being renewed after the original setup was already in use.

Room for more chapter workflows

The same Salesforce base can support more member, event, portal, reporting, or communication work when needed.

A chapter website can grow into more than a website

HFTP South Florida's confirmed Booking Ninjas setup was the Salesforce environment and chapter website.

From that base, an association can add more when there is a real reason to do it.

For example, Booking Ninjas now supports a Member Portal for member self-service, account information, event activity, communication, and other member workflows.

The platform can also support event registration and ticket workflows when events need more structure.

Those are useful examples of where the same kind of Salesforce foundation can go. They are not presented here as confirmed parts of the original HFTP South Florida implementation.
